Rather expected game in Guaynabo where 5th rankedMets (6-7) were defeated by second ranked Cangrejeros (7-5) 91-78 on Saturday. Santurce dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Mets 's 36. Santurce forced 19 Guaynabo turnovers. Strangely Guaynabo outrebounded Santurce 46-30 including 16 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American swingman Ian Clark (190-1991, college: Belmont) fired 24 points for the winners. Forward Angel Rodriguez (193-1992, college: PR-Bayamon) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 assists and 5 steals. International center Ismael Romero (205-1991) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 18 rebounds and the former international Jaysean Paige (188-1994, college: WVU) added 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Five Santurce and four Guaynabo players scored in double figures. Cangrejeros have a solid three-game winning streak. Santurce maintains second position with 7-5 record having seven points less than leader Arecibo. Guaynabo lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the third place with seven games lost. They share the position with Quebradillas.
